Hi there, I'm Tamar! I was a Top Ten Student in Matric and as a result, I was awarded a bursary to study at The University of Stellenbosch. I am a member of the Golden Key Society and was also recognized as the Best Third Year English Student. In my Honors year, I achieved a 74% Aggregate for Mini Dissertation.

The subjects I tutor are English, Afrikaans and History for grades 8-12. My aim is to guide students to improve their reading and writing skills and ultimately perform better in school.

I understand that not everyone is as excited about reading and writing as I am, and some may not see the point, but reading and writing skills are key to success in a High School Learner's journey. This is especially true for subjects like English, Afrikaans, and History, where learners are expected to comprehend written text and respond concisely to questions.

I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans and I have always enjoyed reading and writing, two things I believe I am good at. I am friendly, people-driven and I try to inspire people in my daily walk to find their inner hero/ heroine.
